Caregiver for Adults with Special Needs

At CCARC INC, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with special needs. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team.
The successful candidate will work in a residential setting, providing direct care to participants and enabling them to achieve their highest quality of life. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with participants, family members, and external healthcare providers.
Key ResponsibilitiesProviding Direct Care
Our Caregiver will provide essential physical and emotional care to participants, including assisting with personal care, hygiene, and treatments. They will also provide education on personal hygiene, grooming, and behavioral conduct, while acting as a positive role model to enhance participants' self-esteem.
Coordinating Daily Activities
The Caregiver will coordinate and lead social and recreational activities, as well as shopping for food and clothing. They will also be responsible for the safe transportation of participants and coordinating general housekeeping, including laundry collection and changing.
Monitoring and Recording
The Caregiver will monitor participants at mealtime, according to food consistency guidelines, and record vital signs as needed. They will also be responsible for managing household petty cash, food and house money, and each individual's money, according to CCARC INC's policies.
Emergency Procedures and Compliance
The Caregiver will demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and respond appropriately to emergency situations. They will also adhere to universal precautions, OSHA standards, and infection control policies and procedures.
Education and Work Experience
Our ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Driver's License, and be insurable with the Agency's carrier. They will also be required to have a vehicle for use and maintain adequate insurance.
Training and Certification
The successful candidate will be required to complete the Agency's Employee Training.
We offer a competitive salary of $18.46 per hour, paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and other benefits. The estimated annual salary for this role is $38,380.
