Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Hospital for Special Care. As a key member of our Respiratory Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses in collecting data and developing patient care plans
  • Collaborate with RNs to prioritize patient care and implement plans
  • Provide direct care to patients, recognizing individual needs and differences
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
  • Administer medications and document patient data
  • Perform assigned patient care activities and adhere to hospital standards
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current licensure as a LPN in the State of Connecticut
  • Valid/Current CPR certification (required within three months of employment)
  • Minimum one year LPN experience in a medical/surgical or long-term care setting
