Position Overview

The role of the Clinical Specialist within Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) division is pivotal in pioneering heart disease treatments through advanced medical technologies focused on atrial fibrillation, empowering individuals to reclaim their health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical liaison between the medical community and Abbott's business operations.
  • Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with healthcare professionals, sharing in-depth product knowledge.
  • Deliver engineering, sales, educational, and clinical support in response to inquiries regarding EP products.
  • Conduct and facilitate training sessions on EP products for healthcare professionals.
  • Provide valuable insights and feedback to management regarding market trends and product development.
  • Support regional EP procedural case coverage and assist sales representatives with various tasks, including:
    • Sales assistance
    • Training seminars
    • Clinical studies and data collection
    • Troubleshooting
    • Product training for medical staff
  • Continuously enhance technical and sales skills in alignment with the Arrhythmia Management strategy.
  • Assist in the preparation of educational materials and advanced seminars.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory requirements, and competitor products.
  • Identify and resolve clinical issues, ensuring effective solutions are implemented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Bio-Medical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent healthcare experience.
  • Ability to achieve certification on EP products.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in cardiac pacing or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of cardiology and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Familiarity with cath lab and operating room protocols.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for creating presentations.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $57,300.00 to $114,000. Abbott offers comprehensive benefits, including free medical coverage for employees and a robust retirement savings plan.
