Role Overview:

The Buyer Associate plays a crucial role in the procurement and sourcing of essential materials and resources for the organization. This includes supporting the creation of contracts and managing order placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments such as sales, production, and quality assurance to develop necessary analyses and documentation.
  • Oversee the supply chain management for designated commodities, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Utilize accurate purchase orders and schedule agreements to meet sales demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct MRP analysis to ensure materials are available for production without exceeding inventory budget goals.
  • Monitor supplier performance through SAP to achieve 100% on-time delivery, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Resolve Accounts Payable discrepancies to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to address supplier quality concerns and manage defective materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or materials planning.
  • Associate Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in a similar role.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in resolving Accounts Payable invoices is essential.
  • Strong MRP knowledge and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, thriving in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including V Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team or independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
