Klassic Recruiting collaborates with National Merchants Association to identify a skilled Card Settlement Analyst.
Position Summary
The Card Settlement Analyst will be responsible for delivering high-quality support for the card settlement operations across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure accurate posting of general ledger or DDA entries resulting from daily settlements.
2. Investigate and resolve both monetary and non-monetary discrepancies utilizing system-generated reports and established procedures.
3. Conduct month-end reconciliations for designated general ledger and DDA accounts, presenting findings to management for review.
4. Adhere to specific team standards and procedures for task execution.
5. Comprehend the funds flow process involving various third-party processors and card networks.
6. Prepare and dispatch ACH transactions.
7. Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant settlement documentation from daily operations or monthly reconciliations.
8. Support the department manager in special projects related to Card Settlement or collaborations with other internal or external business partners.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Card Settlement Analyst or in a similar role.
Required Skills
1. Proficient understanding of accounting principles, general ledger processing, and reconciliations.
2. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
3. Capability to work independently and conduct research and analytical tasks.
4. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with experience managing large datasets.
6. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros.
Work Environment
This position operates in a standard office environment, utilizing typical office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and perform tasks that may require standing or bending.
