Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology Program at the Manhattan VA Hospital. As a Physician Assistant, you will work alongside experienced physicians in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and advanced cardiac imaging. Your responsibilities will include managing patients with cardiovascular disease, performing procedures, and collaborating with the cardiology team.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and examine patients, including medication reconciliation and peri-procedural documentation
- Participate in daily rounds and scrub into procedures as needed
- Manage inpatient and outpatient referrals for invasive and interventional cardiac procedures
- Coordinate transfers and direct admits with referring centers for cardiovascular disease patients
- Answer patient inquiries regarding cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate with the cardiology team and other disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care
- Master's degree in a health-related field or a bachelor's degree with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant
- Successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE)
- Current licensure to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia
Full-time, 8am-4:30pm (work schedule may be discussed with hiring manager)
