Job Description:

Solventum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Development Engineer to join our Infection Prevention Team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing state-of-the-art medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of medical devices
  • Develop component and product specifications, and produce formal documentation for CAD models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials
  • Interact with suppliers to support prototype and development activities
  • Support design transfer and scale-up activities with internal and outsourced manufacturing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • Five (5) years of mechanical product development experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in Medical Device (or other regulated industry) product development and commercialization
  • Three (3) years of experience with NX and/or Solidworks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design experience in complex hardware systems
  • Ability to generate, review, and understand formal engineering drawings and documents required for the fabrication and assembly of medical products
  • Able to thrive within a multi-functional product team
  • Passionate, self-motivated, inquisitive, imaginative, and detail-oriented

Work Location: Hybrid (Up to 3 days at Maplewood, MN)

Travel: May include up to 10% Domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
