Pulmonary Services Manager

As a seasoned Pulmonary Services Manager at Kaiser Permanente, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused, and cost-effective pulmonary care services in a diverse culture. Your expertise will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while driving service area and continuum of care excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality standards for pulmonary care across the continuum of care.
- Coordinate treatment plans, customer-focused service delivery, and cost-effective utilization of services.
- Ensure patient care compliance with administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement efficient pulmonary care services and outcomes.
- Review best practice models, including systems development and cost-effective care delivery models.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate standards of practice to improve quality and service to members.
- Meet short- and long-term financial goals by planning, developing, monitoring, adjusting, and evaluating annual budgets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality of services.
- Manage staff, ensuring they are fully competent in providing high-quality care to members.
- Determine appropriate staffing to maintain service levels.
- Develop and present in-service programs to medical center staff.
- Manage and resolve human resource, employee, and department safety, and risk management issues.
Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status. Such changes are generally implemented only after notice is given to affected employees.
Qualifications:- Four (4) years of management experience in respiratory care, in a multi-faceted health care system, multi-service provider setting, or academic setting required.
- Bachelor's degree in respiratory care, healthcare administration, nursing, business administration, or completion within two (2) years or four (4) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) and Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate required.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, staffing, systems, quality improvement, and clinical care delivery in an inpatient setting.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree preferred.
