M/I Homes, a leading national home builder, is seeking a Residential Mortgage Loan Officer Support Specialist for its financing division, M/I Financial, LLC.


Key Qualifications:
Proficient in the origination and underwriting standards for various mortgage products.

Well-versed in Conventional, FHA, and VA loan criteria.

Position Overview:


Assist loan officers in processing FHA, VA, and Conventional loan applications, preparing them for automated approval and submission to processing.

This role may involve managing a small pipeline for the right candidate. Applicants must hold the necessary licenses and be prepared to originate as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to become successful loan officers, with the company providing paid continuing education for licensing.

Responsibilities:


Collaborate closely with loan officers, builder sales representatives, and home buyers to facilitate the purchase transaction.


Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with a diverse range of customers.

Gather, interpret, and analyze information in relation to underwriting standards and requirements.

Comfortably reach out to customers via phone or email to discuss loans, request documentation, and address basic inquiries.

Support the Loan Officer in maintaining customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets.

Effectively interpret AUS findings and understand required documentation.

Prequalify potential borrowers as necessary.

Maintain an active NMLS Loan Originator License.

This position is strictly on-site. Remote or hybrid work options are not available.

Willingness to travel to Builder Communities as needed.

Requirements:
Some college education preferred, with a minimum of two years of experience in a purchase-focused mortgage origination role.

Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.
