Aerospace Lead Systems Engineer
Actalent is seeking an experienced Aerospace Lead Systems Engineer to join our team in Windsor, CT. As a key member of our NPI Project Engineering Group, you will be responsible for leading the development of nose wheel steering systems and landing gear product design and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering and experience in managing cross-functional teams and executing successful product development programs on schedule and within budget from concept design through production transition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful program execution.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering and project management.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience working in and leading product development teams, creating project plans, performing risk assessments, and working resource plans necessary for successful program execution.
