  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product lines, seeking continued education and training to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Support Outside Sales Representatives with order entry, special orders, billing, and basic project estimates.
  • Utilize various software to create accurate take-offs, estimates, quotes, customer orders, purchase orders, and invoices for new homes, businesses, outbuildings, and additions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, pricing, and scheduling of deliveries and installations.
  • Thoroughly explain orders to customers, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction.
  • Process returns and credits, following up with vendors and customers to ensure resolution.
  • Ensure all product is invoiced before leaving the store.
  • Research credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
  • Follow up with customers from quote to project completion.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to resolve customer complaints, product damage, or other issues.
  • Perform customer service tasks, including cutting keys, filling propane, running the register, and assisting with rental transactions.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Provide services to customers at the point of sale, including running the register, bagging items, and assisting with loading products.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, maintaining situational awareness and reporting any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
Work Environment:

As a Building Materials Sales Coordinator, you will spend most of your time inside the store, working in a moderate noise level environment. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
