About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Hospital for Special Surgery. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize value and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business requirements and drive cost savings
  • Manage and enhance existing contracts with key suppliers through quarterly business reviews
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers on pricing and contractual terms and conditions
  • Analyze and interpret data to present, interpret outcomes, and make data-driven recommendations to leadership
  • Define sourcing strategies that optimize value considering requestor/end-user needs and market
  • Assess needs and initiate projects with key stakeholders based on high spend profile, potential for savings, upcoming contract expirations, process improvement, capital projects, and value analysis related initiatives
Requirements
  • At least five years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, with two years specializing in the Orthopedics product spend category
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration/Supply Chain or related field
  • Master's degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • ERP platforms and OR Inventory Management Systems experience required
