We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Alverno Laboratories. As a key member of our outreach phlebotomy services, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform laboratory office duties, including registering patients, entering data into the computer system, and processing paperwork
- Prepare specimens for testing and/or sending to the central laboratory or reference laboratory
- Perform limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training required
- Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
