Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

At BioLife Plasma Services, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our donors and patients. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the development of life-changing medicines.
Your responsibilities will include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the management of the Center Physician for operational and medical issues.
You will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry and will follow guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs. You will also provide center-level support of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
- Evaluate donor reactions, which occur at the facility, and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors or guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- Support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
