As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for administering therapy modalities as ordered by physicians, performing mechanical ventilator management, and responding to code blue situations.
Key Responsibilities- Administer therapy modalities as ordered by physicians, including mechanical ventilation and arterial puncture and blood gas analysis.
- Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas, prioritizing patient care and safety.
- Assist in the transport of ventilator and critically ill patients, ensuring safe and efficient transfer.
- Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide thorough and accurate reports to oncoming staff at shift end, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Enter all patient contacts into the appropriate system, maintaining accurate records.
- Perform equipment rounds, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- Respiratory Therapy Degree - AAS or BS.
- Basic Life Support Certification and ACLS.
- One-year adult critical care experience.
- Previous experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry.
