Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. You will position and instruct patients prior to examination, adjust the x-ray equipment, and determine the proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explaining procedures to patients and answering their questions.
  • Prepare equipment for use as needed, prepare examination rooms for patient exams, and position patients for imaging exams.
  • Monitor patients and ensure their safety during exams, produce diagnostic images, and document exam information.
  • Report important information to physicians and verify exams on PACS.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in radiological technology is preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification is required.
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment is preferred.
