We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Albertsons Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as completing preventative maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices.
- Changeover, repair, and troubleshoot all plant production equipment.
- Identify complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues on all associated equipment, review related information to develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required.
- Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as required.
- Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required.
- Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.).
- Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently.
- Maintain organization of spare parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
- Complete special projects and duties as assigned.
- Continuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts.
- Rebuild/fabrication of equipment.
- Welding mild and stainless steel.
- Complete work orders.
- Maintain logs and records.
- Investigate electrical and instrument equipment failures and develop action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You enjoy working as a part of a larger team to make an impact.
- Ensuring a safe work environment is a priority to you.
- You take pride in the work you do, with every detail, whether big or small.
- You must be able to lift to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
- Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance are required.
- Being a part of your community matters.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required.
- You have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics.
- You have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
- LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred.
