Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff (Relief) to join our Residential team. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance and supervision to children and adolescents in a residential setting, promoting their physical and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to residents, helping them make decisions about daily life and conduct.
  • Implement and maintain Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive community, respecting the unique needs and backgrounds of each resident.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and community partners, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based interventions.
Requirements
  • Empathetic and effective communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, prioritizing the needs of residents and the organization.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
