Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Experience
    • Engage with patients to provide empathetic and personalized care, addressing their medication needs and concerns.
    • Model and share customer service best practices with pharmacy staff to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience.
    • Connect with patients to anticipate their needs and proactively offer services, promoting the shift from transactional to interpersonal pharmacy services.
  • Operations
    • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications, referring to medical providers as needed.
    • Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
    • Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • People & Performance Management
    • Collaborate with Store Manager to establish expectations and goals, promote teamwork, and foster a shared vision.
    • Monitor and recognize improvements in pharmacy staff performance, implementing rewards programs and conducting formal performance reviews.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, and insurance billing.
