Role Overview
As a Loss Control Consultant, you will leverage your extensive experience (10+ years) in commercial Property & Casualty Risk Control to conduct thorough risk assessments and loss control surveys. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our clients' underwriting processes, and you will be expected to communicate effectively and manage assignments with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site evaluations and provide detailed risk assessment reports to insurance clients.
- Identify potential loss-producing conditions and recommend strategies for risk mitigation.
- Manage your schedule to secure client appointments and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Engage in special projects that utilize your professional certifications and risk control expertise.
Work Environment
This position allows for remote work, with travel required to various commercial operations, including retail establishments, restaurants, hotels, and more. You will assess risks across multiple lines of commercial insurance, such as Property, General Liability, and Workers Compensation.
Required Tools
- Windows-based PC with scanning capabilities
- Digital camera
- High-speed internet connection
- Measuring devices (laser, tape measure, etc.)
- Reliable transportation
- Preferred: Auto and General Liability Insurance
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Risk Control Consulting
- Background with major insurance carriers or national brokerages
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or Physical Sciences
- CSP or ARM designations are advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience in commercial insurance inspections and fire safety assessments
