Adjunct Faculty Position in Product Design Engineering Technology

Job Summary:
Ferris State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach undergraduate-level lecture and laboratory coursework in the Product Design Engineering Technology program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in design, manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or a related discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver courses utilizing effective methods that ensure all course outcomes are met.
- Deliver courses in a classroom format.
- Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Participate in traditional functions with academic significance, such as reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time.
- Teach off-campus or in an online environment as needed.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in field or closely related area or a Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in field which may include Design, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline.
- Any Master's or higher-level degree plus a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in field and five years relevant industry experience directly related to course(s) taught.
- Bachelor's degree in field and seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to the course(s) taught.
- Associate's degree in field and any bachelor's degree plus seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to course(s) taught.
