About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Final Assembly and Testing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and testing spacecraft components and systems. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the success of our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment setup
  • Assist with the transition from development to production, including first articles
  • Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical, fluid, composites, and electrical flight hardware assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models
  • Operate various materials handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts
  • Setup and operate basic calibrated tools, including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers
  • Assist with drill operations, tight tolerance holes, rivet structures, and assemble small components
  • Install tubing and harness routing
  • Assist with vehicle checkouts, including fluid lines leak checks and full vehicle power-on system checks
  • Perform routine maintenance functions, including daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of direct experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or a related field
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas
  • Perform repetitive work, including lifting of heavy items (over 50lbs)
  • Work off-shift, extended hours, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field
  • Work effectively in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it
  • Military experience
