At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Structures Technician III, you'll play a critical role in building the next generation of lunar landers, working alongside a talented team of engineers and technicians to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate precision tools and equipment for spacecraft assembly and integration.
  • Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections to ensure compliance with engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts, to support spacecraft assembly and integration.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance area safety and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate differing opinions in a collaborative environment without conflict.
  • A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration.
  • Knowledge of 3-D CAD tools and ability to read and interpret drawings and standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration.
  • Experience with composite and metallic structure fabrication, including precision drilling, cutting, and assembly.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of avionic instrumentation and harness assemblies.
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts, around flight-critical hardware.
