Floor Technician Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Technician Lead to join our team at Goodwill of North Georgia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting floor technicians on assigned tasks to ensure the cleanliness of floors using various mechanical and powered cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support floor technicians on assigned tasks to ensure the cleanliness of floors.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of floor equipment and assist with floor cleaning duties, including stripping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Assist with monitoring the team's time and schedules and direct floor technicians to properly move furniture and merchandise prior to floor care services.
  • Supervise floor technicians in the proper use of equipment and supplies and assist in ordering supplies, tools, and equipment from approved vendors as needed.
  • Notify the manager of equipment needing repair or replacement and make recommendations for additional services or service improvement to the Floor Tech Manager.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for customers and employees and ensure floor technicians follow all work procedures and standards according to the quality management system.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in floor tech or custodial services.
  • Strong knowledge of floor care and custodial services.
  • Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with manager and staff.

Working Environment Conditions:

  • The ability to push, pull, and lift 30lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform all duties of the position, including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work various shifts.
