Job Summary:
Are you passionate about ensuring the health and safety of vulnerable populations? Do you have a strong background in investigation and regulatory compliance?

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator VI to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an Investigator VI, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents in Texas long-term care facilities by conducting on-site inspections and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations, and annual comprehensive surveys in facilities to determine compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations.
• Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information, answer inquiries, and address issues or complaints.
• Complete inspection or survey reports detailing deficiencies, recommended remedies, and narrative to support regulatory findings.
• Visit long-term care facilities to verify correction of previously cited regulatory violations.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others, such as publications, assessments, and reports.

Requirements:
• Knowledge of acceptable professional standards of patient care.
• Skilled in conducting investigations to verify compliance.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to multi-task and track multiple activities with competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment to reach sound decisions.
