**Job Title:** Investigator VI

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator VI to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an Investigator VI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of residents in long-term care facilities across Texas.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
* Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and resolve issues
* Complete inspection reports detailing deficiencies, recommended remedies, and narrative to support regulatory findings
* Visit facilities to verify correction of previously cited regulatory violations
* Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others

**Requirements:**

* Knowledge of acceptable professional standards of patient care
* Skilled in conducting investigations to verify compliance
* Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations
* Ability to multi-task and track multiple activities with competing priorities
* Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment
