Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to pediatric oncology and hematology patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure effective and efficient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Support the organization's vision and mission.
  • Utilize knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care.

Requirements:

  • RN License to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
  • APHON Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Associates degree in Nursing.
  • Chemo Certified or in the process of certification preferred.
  • Hematology Certification or in the process of certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
