Pediatric Associates is a leading provider of pediatric primary care services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Care Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role:

The Pediatric Care Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient care through an electronic or paper environment. This includes providing great customer service to patients and families by communicating in a cordial and professional manner at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration
  • Check to make sure that patient history is complete (i.e. immunization records, allergy to medications, health record updates, etc.)
  • Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
  • Obtain and verify patient health record updates
  • Perform sensory screening as needed
  • Fill out any necessary paperwork for patients (i.e. school forms)
  • Call hospitals to obtain any necessary results (i.e. lab and x-ray results)
  • Keeping a clean, safe and organized work environment for patients and staff
  • Attending any necessary meetings to be up to date on changes in protocol and procedures
  • Prepare Well Child packets
  • Working as a team with nursing and front office staff for optimal patient care
  • Follow any OSHA and Safety requirements for rooms and documentation
  • Other various duties as assigned, including cross training in other functional areas

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, MA Diploma in progress, and knowledge of basic medical terminology, and medical safety practices. Ability to perform necessary vital signs for pediatrics and assess emergency situations and act accordingly.
