Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Communicating significant events to the Director on Call, managers, and Vice President Nursing
  • Evaluating staffing needs and making daily adjustments to accommodate patient acuity and staff capabilities
  • Promoting accountability and autonomy through primary nursing
  • Delegating responsibility for direct patient care based on patient age, developmental needs, and understanding
  • Responding to emergencies and coordinating nursing activities
  • Ensuring the implementation of the nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnoses, care plans, interventions, patient teaching, and evaluation of outcomes of care
  • Acting as a resource person to all unit staff members
  • Maintaining a safe unit environment and ensuring staff compliance with safety, fire, and infection control policies and procedures
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school
  • A minimum of three years' experience in rehabilitation or medical surgical nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • A BSN or Baccalaureate in a related field and CRRN nursing is preferred
