Substance Abuse Case Manager I

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to established professional standards; or a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with two (2) years of relevant full-time experience in social casework; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Case Manager I will report to the Chief Clerk and Project Director, working within problem-solving units. Responsibilities include:
- Developing individualized treatment plans.
- Assessing intervention services and counseling participants.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed case files and written reports on participants.
- Providing case management and monitoring services to defendants with substance abuse issues.
- Conducting psycho-social evaluations and preparing corresponding documentation.
- Monitoring participant compliance with programs and recommending appropriate sanctions.
- Making preliminary recommendations to the court regarding cases.
- Evaluating progress and determining ongoing service needs.
- Preparing clients for reintegration into the community and conducting mandated drug testing.
Travel may be required as part of the role.
