We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Cayuga Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care and management to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate nursing activities on assigned units, ensuring high-quality care and resident satisfaction.
- Develop and implement nursing procedures and systems to improve resident outcomes and staff performance.
- Assess and evaluate staff performance, providing coaching and training to enhance clinical expertise.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote resident-centered care and achieve quality goals.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, resident rights, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in departmental meetings and in-services to stay current on best practices and industry developments.
- Current state license to practice as a nurse.
- Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing, with management or supervisory experience preferred.
