CT Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at CARTI. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing CT procedures to assist in disease diagnosis.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. The CT Technologist will be responsible for reviewing images in the PAC system, identifying abnormal abnormalities, and assisting the Radiologist in the interpretation of patient exams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic technology and be able to perform CT procedures as prescribed by a physician. This includes positioning patients for the proper view of the affected area, selecting the appropriate scan images to be transferred to a PACS system, and obtaining essential information from patients, medical records, and previous scans for clinical correlation.
The CT Technologist will also be responsible for instructing patients about the proper physiological requirements for the procedure, helping patients transfer to the CT exam table, and ensuring adequate patient immobilization to perform the scan.
Additionally, the CT Technologist will be responsible for assisting in performing life-saving techniques, practicing sterile techniques, and handling blood and body fluids and dealing with infectious patients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Radiography school
- ARRT (CT) registered or registry eligible
- Current Radiologic Technology License (RTL) in good standing
- BLS certification
- Minimum one year of experience and/or training with graduate CT
- Skilled in injecting contrast intravenously for imaging procedures
- Skilled in using computer network system competently to process patient and department information
- Knowledgeable and skilled in assuming responsibility for safety factors
- Ability to explain procedures clearly and simply to patients
