Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Job
This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for executing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, reviewing reports, and engaging with stakeholders. Your expertise in flood risk analysis and mitigation will be crucial in supporting contracts with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Responsibilities
- Execute and review hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in support of flood risk analyses
- Support levee analyses and other mitigation project evaluations
- Collaborate with other FEMA RSC Staff to share best practices
- Engage Subject Matter Experts and technical support staff as needed to support FEMA Regional decision making and responses

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related field with a strong foundation in hydrologic principles and flood risk analyses
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, floodplain studies, floodplain management, and mitigation
- Experience with modeling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D and 2D, SWMM, and ArcGIS
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide array of individuals from various backgrounds, including engineers; planners; GIS professionals; federal, tribal, and state government officials; and the public
