Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties. You'll utilize scientific principles and technical expertise to ensure accurate test results and maintain high-quality laboratory operations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two-year college program or technical school. Six months to one year of related experience or training is preferred. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent is required within 12 months of hire.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a varied shift schedule, including 8 am - 6 pm, 7:30 am - 4 pm, Noon to 8 pm, or 2:30 pm to 11 pm. You'll rotate every 3rd weekend/holiday and work 72 hours every 2 weeks.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $31.75 per hour, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. This position may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment and a relocation bonus if you reside 500 miles or greater from Aberdeen, SD.
