Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance RN to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our quality improvement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate quality improvement activities to maintain and improve patient care services.
  • Perform concurrent and retrospective quality review studies using electronic and hard copy medical record review, data extraction and aggregation, and computer data entry.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor progress.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems for identified problems and develop plans of action to correct deficiencies.
  • Assist with survey readiness activities, including mock surveys and corrective action plans.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse licensed in WV.
  • 5 years clinical experience.
  • Detail-oriented, proficient with communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of health information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing.
  • Experience with data analysis and a background in quality/patient safety/joint commission/patient experience/performance improvement.
