About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Propulsion Engineering team at Relativity Space, a pioneering company in the field of additive manufacturing and commercial launch services. As a Propulsion Test Engineer II, you will play a critical role in the development and testing of our Aeon R engine systems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing test plans for propulsion test articles, including combustion devices, valves, and heat exchangers
  • Collaborating with product owners to design and test new and existing test article designs
  • Leading exploratory operations to evaluate test hardware behavior and support continuous engine development and certification
  • Supporting engine subsystem troubleshooting and partner team product investigations
  • Participating in stage test and flight campaigns as the vehicle development program progresses

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience applying engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
  • Experience with test operations environments
  • Experience with ownership, problem-solving skills, professional collaboration, and providing mentorship
  • Experience delivering on ambitious schedules, especially if unconventional solutions are necessary to do so
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field
  • 2+ years of direct experience in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment
