About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Propulsion Engineer to join our Propulsion Engineering team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing propulsion systems for our Terran R launch vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop propulsion systems, including engines and fuel systems, to meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion systems with vehicle and payload systems.
  • Conduct analysis and testing to ensure propulsion systems meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to support propulsion system design and testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in propulsion systems design and development.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design, fluid, thermal, and structural fundamentals.

Hiring Range

$130,000—$166,000 USD.
