GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Operate autonomously and with minimal oversight to engage in the repair and

maintenance of semi-trailers by executing the tasks outlined below at various locations

as assigned:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and adhere to the Core Values and policies of Transportation Equipment Network

in all aspects of your work. Every employee is expected to prioritize their

health and safety at all times for themselves, their families, and the safety of

their colleagues.

Must possess sufficient experience or appropriate training certification to perform basic air brake

maintenance:
complete brake jobs, S-cam bushing replacements, brake chamber

replacements, and air valve replacements.

Must exhibit a fundamental understanding of spring and air ride suspensions: Proper

alignment techniques, R&R torque arms, equalizers, and springs.

Have comprehensive knowledge of axle wheel end assemblies including correct installation

of hub and drum assemblies, bearings, seals, and races. Must have complete

understanding and knowledge of proper torque procedures for axle nut installation.

Troubleshoot and repair all components of electrical wiring systems, including all lights, 7-way receptacles, interior lighting, and switches.

Must demonstrate the capability to perform minor body repairs and maintenance:
R&R

swing and roll-door panels, R&R roof and floor sections.

Must demonstrate the ability to perform minor undercarriage maintenance and

repairs. R&R crossmembers, ICC bumpers, spring hangers, dolly wing plates, dolly

legs, and bracing, etc...

Demonstrate the ability to weld steel components from various positions.

Must possess the necessary hand tools and equipment to perform

all of the above tasks.

Must maintain an outstanding driving record and remain insurable.

Must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
The mobile maintenance technician position does not currently entail a formal

supervisory role.

Qualifications:
To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to execute each essential

responsibility satisfactorily.

Must hold a valid, current driver's license and maintain a current DOT driver file.
