Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Greet patients in a warm and friendly tone, register patients, and schedule appointments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Patient Care: Assist patients, nurses, and providers in the clinic setting, perform vital signs, and obtain history of chief complaint for visit.
  • Point of Care Testing: Perform various Point of Care Testing and document results, ensuring quality control for each test completed.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, nurses, and providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduation or GED, and successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant, EMT, or medical assistant program of study.
  • Certification/Licenses: BLS issued through American Heart Association and Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Skills: Outstanding Service Excellence skills, knowledge and skill to obtain vital signs and PHI, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with others, and ability to navigate through computer software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of in-patient or medical office experience, including direct patient care.
Work Environment

Requires knowledge of general safety standards to limit exposure to infectious disease. Daily contact with infectious diseases and body fluids.
