Under supervision, operates milling machines, grinders, lathes, and drill presses to produce precision components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Operates a select range of machinery, including lathes, specific milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, with guidance from a supervisor.
2.
Interprets standard blueprints and process documentation, along with verbal and written instructions.
3.
Conducts tape-controlled machine operations under supervision and performs basic adjustments as required.
4.
Adjusts machinery during operation to maintain high standards of product quality and production volume.
5.
Ensures adherence to standard tolerances throughout the machining process.
6.
Conducts visual inspections of parts and subassemblies to confirm they are free from defects.
7.
Keeps the workspace and equipment in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
8.
Performs additional related tasks as assigned.
