Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Type One Energy. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in developing the manufacturing capability of our high temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Work closely with our Manufacturing Supervisor and team of Engineers to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide guidance on technical and safety issues, and offer training to improve team members' skills.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure that products meet specifications and detect any machine malfunctions or defects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in manufacturing with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machines, machine tools, high energy systems, and ability to run a CNC machine unsupervised.
  • Experience in participating in or conducting safety reviews and investigations.
  • Experience writing and reviewing manufacturing checklists and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to manufacturing activities, including Occupational Safety and Health standards.
