Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our team at PG&E Corporation. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of job estimates, vendor relations, and equipment/material cost estimates. You will also be responsible for creating standard construction packages, consulting with construction personnel, and ensuring all required project documentation is complete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager in developing Project Proposals, Technical Scope, Plans, Schedules, and Cost Estimates.
  • Provide detailed project engineering, including managing and tracking material purchases and disposition.
  • Prepare status reports and project completion reports as needed for the project.
  • Assist in job walk downs and handoffs, ensuring completion of drawings and related design documentation.
  • Attend technical training on emerging technologies and their applications to PG&E telecommunications' systems.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the safety of the work environment and ensuring Construction Job Packages include adequate site safety information.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all technical issues with project managers on projects.
  • Coordinate project meeting requests with other team members as appropriate.
Requirements
  • A 4-year BS Degree in Engineering or a 4-year BS degree in an Information Technology discipline in the US or the equivalent from inside/outside the US.
  • Telecommunications experience, 2 years.
  • Experience in engineering, planning, or operations, 1 year.
  • Knowledge of nuclear power plant operations and regulations as needed to perform at the job level.
  • Skill in making recommendations based on relevant expertise as needed to perform at the job level.
  • Competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Competency in making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Competency in making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
  • Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

This is an exempt classification currently subject to collective bargaining. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.

The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.

A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $91,728.00 Bay Area Maximum: $137,784.00
