Position Summary:

The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards within our facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate teamwork, effective communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Key responsibilities include general repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of facility equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform necessary repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Execute general building repairs, including wall and floor maintenance.
  • Replace lighting fixtures and ceiling tiles as needed.
  • Manage building lighting systems, including emergency and parking lot lights.
  • Oversee inventory and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Engage with customers and management to clarify work requests and timelines.
  • Repair and replace flooring materials as required.
  • Maintain tenant spaces to established standards.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; vocational training preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks that involve standing, walking, and using hands for manual work. The technician will also be exposed to various environmental conditions.

Work Environment:

The work environment may include exposure to wet conditions, mechanical parts, and varying temperatures. Safety precautions are essential to ensure a secure working atmosphere.
