Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the servicing of a portfolio of commercial insurance clients with all internal and external stakeholders, possessing an advanced level of knowledge of all commercial lines of insurance.
  • Analyze policy renewals in accordance with client information, individual needs, and prevailing market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the services provided.
  • Conduct follow-up discussions with clients to ensure their contentment while progressing towards sales closure.
  • Present and explain insurance policy options based on client needs and personal goals.
  • Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity, including financial products.
  • Manage carrier relationships on behalf of clients to ensure the accurate and timely issuance of policies and endorsements.
  • Utilize various computer systems for daily transactions, take premium payments, review, update, and make changes to policies, claim handling, and provide certificates of insurance.
  • Ensure consistent and prompt communication with clients to address their needs and concerns to ensure retention standards.
  • Prepare proposals for new and renewal business.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial insurance products, services, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Property and Casualty License required. A license is not required to apply; we will pay 100% for licensing.
  • 3+ years of customer service or leadership experience is required. Insurance experience is a bonus.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail when reviewing policies, contracts, and client data to minimize errors and ensure the highest level of accuracy.
  • Ambitious self-starter who can work independently to hit targets and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to achieving individual and team objectives, consistently seeking opportunities for growth and improvement in pursuit of our agency's success.
  • Effectively communicate complex insurance concepts and policy details to clients in a clear, understandable, and client-friendly manner, ensuring they make well-informed decisions.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to analyze complex insurance situations, develop innovative solutions, and provide clients with tailored recommendations for their coverage.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, proficiently to create, edit, and maintain documents and reports.
