Job Summary:
The Nurse Resident has the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and skill in the practice of nursing under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service and excellent nursing care, participating in quality improvement initiatives and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform direct and indirect patient care functions under the direction of the RN.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of nursing practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Senior nursing student, an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Ability to obtain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license within 60 days of graduating from an accredited school of nursing.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members.
Work Environment:
The Nurse Resident will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
