Job Title: Behavior Support Specialist

Join our team at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows as a Behavior Support Specialist. In this role, you will work with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, providing daily feedback on Conscious Discipline to classroom teachers and supporting teachers with responding to behaviors.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily feedback on Conscious Discipline to classroom teachers
  • Support teachers with responding to behaviors, including biting and toilet training
  • Observe and screen students regularly
Requirements:
  • A college degree in child development or a related field from an accredited college or university OR dual-CDAs OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of experience working with children, ideally at-risk children or children of trauma
  • Approval as a trainer with The Nevada Registry, or ability and willingness to become an approved trainer within 90 days
