Salary and BenefitsWe offer competitive compensation, including a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, PTO for regular schedules consistently greater than 25 hours/week, 401(k) employer matching, and great work environment.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an energetic and experienced Voice Faculty member who can deliver 1-on-1 lessons across genres, lead aCapella group and small choir rehearsals, and prepare students for auditions and vocal performances.
- Deliver 1-on-1 lessons across genres including Rock, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Theater, and Classical/Opera.
- Lead aCapella group and small choir rehearsals and area performances.
- May assist with prep for recording sessions through the school.
- Prepare students for auditions, or vocal performances in shows.
- Be trained in our lessons program.
- Keep internal lessons notes.
- Prepare students for community performances and school performances.
- May prepare students for competitions as BSMA rep, or for special auditions.
The ideal candidate will have a solid piano skillset, ability to create a warm and engaging music learning experience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field is preferred, but not required.
- Prefer Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
- Solid Piano skills.
- Ability to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging music learning experience in 1-on-1.
- Must pass background test, showing suitability to teach children.
- Can work independently, and be directed at times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized.
- 1+ years' experience teaching music to ages 5 to Adult.
