Position Summary:

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Data Specialist. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across various departments to define and execute reporting requests and enhancements to organizational platforms from start to finish. This role demands a proactive individual with robust project management capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of business operations in sectors such as solar, energy, utilities, and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with department leaders to assess and prioritize reporting needs and platform improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence Manager and team leads to develop business requirement documentation.
  • Oversee specific projects within business units, including stakeholder engagement, requirement gathering, and feedback integration.
  • Communicate effectively with executive management while serving as a liaison to developers, possessing basic coding knowledge.
  • Demonstrate creativity in suggesting innovative Power BI visualizations, including graphs, charts, and KPIs.
  • Guide Power BI users on effective design practices to convey data narratives through thoughtful color choices, layouts, and impactful visualizations.
  • Maintain effective communication with both junior and senior management.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.
  • Identify and address project obstacles, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Ensure comprehensive and current project documentation is maintained and stored appropriately.
  • Monitor project performance using relevant systems, tools, and methodologies.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to verify that projects meet business objectives and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and making necessary adjustments to processes.
  • Collaborate with the Dev Ops team to oversee project monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a business analyst role, ideally within a business enhancement or IT context, or 2-5 years of project management experience in similar environments.
  • 2-5 years of experience utilizing Power BI.
  • Familiarity with or eagerness to learn about artificial intelligence management in a dynamic setting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while delivering results on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMBOK).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with platforms such as the Viewpoint ERP system is advantageous.

Salary Range: $74,000-$105,000 annually
