Job Overview

System One is seeking a skilled Ansible Automation Specialist to work on a contract-to-hire basis. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in automation engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Ansible, AWX/Ansible Tower, Linux, and Windows system administration. A strong understanding of scripting languages, particularly Python, PowerShell, and bash, is also essential. Additionally, experience in developing and maintaining REST/SOAP APIs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts using Ansible for managing data center infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and optimizing Ansible playbooks for server, services, databases, and security provisioning and configuration.
  2. Creating playbooks for infrastructure management tasks such as adding CPU or memory to existing VMware virtual machines and moving ESXi hosts to clusters.
  3. Automating administrative tasks for various database platforms and handling routine maintenance operations using Ansible.
  4. Utilizing Ansible Tower for orchestration and management of automation workflows.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and improve automation processes.
  6. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automation scripts and server configurations.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience working with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
  • Experience with AWX/Ansible Tower for orchestration and management.
  • Linux and Windows system administration skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining REST/SOAP APIs.
