About the Role

Ebenezer is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our senior residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Provide health-related services, such as passing medication, glucose monitoring, and vital sign checks, under the direction of a licensed nurse.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Assist with meal service and participate in activities designed to promote resident engagement and socialization.
  • Observe residents and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new staff members.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents and colleagues in a team setting.
  • Curiosity and willingness to work with a diverse and older population.
  • CNA certification is required for individuals under 18 years old.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course.
